Thelma died December 27, 2005 in Bainbridge, Monroe Co., IN. Obit: Jean Martin, 79, Bainbridge, died Tuesday at her residence.
Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Fred and Jessie Koessler.
A graduate of Bainbridge High School, she was the first female to be hired by IBM Corp. when it opened its Greencastle plant in 1953, and the last person to leave IBM when it closed in 1987.
Surviving are a son, Harold L. Keck, Friendswood, Texas; and three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Fred Koessler, and sisters Betty Mason and Mary Jane Giltz.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in Bainbridge Cemetery.
She married twice. She married (___) Martin. She married Herbert Ellis Keck. Herbert was born January 8, 1924 in Roachdale, Putnam Co., IN. Herbert was the son of Charles Lee Keck and Ethel Cora Suiter. Herbert died May 1, 1960.
