Lois died March 3, 2003 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Lois Smith of Brookhaven are 3 p.m., today at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith, 75, died March 3, 2003, at her residence. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 15, 1927, to Noah Smith and Lou Smith.

She was retired from Potter Company. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Hugh V. Smith; and three brothers, Virgil Smith, Trenton "Bill" Smith, and J.B. Smith.

Survivors are her son, Rickey Smith of Brookhaven; her brother, Herman "Stub" Smith of Brookhaven; her sisters, Earline Britt of Magee and Juanita Castilaw of Brookhaven; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

She married Hugh V Smith December 27, 1946 in Lincoln Co., MS. Hugh was born June 15, 1922. Hugh died July 25, 1989 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. Hugh was buried in Macedonia Baptist Chuirch Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.

Lois Smith and Hugh V Smith had the following children:
