She married Leroy Percy Smith January 15,1928. Leroy was born June 7, 1907. Leroy was the son of Eldon Smith and Leruah Watts. Leroy died March 31, 1978 in Lincoln Co., MS. Leroy and Vera were buried in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.

Vera Lanelle Allgood and Leroy Percy Smith had the following children:
