Leslie David¹¹ Allgood (Leslie John¹⁰, John A.⁹, Edmond (Edward)⁸, Phillip⁷, Edmund⁶, Edward⁵, William⁴ Algood, Edward³ Allgood, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN November 12, 1934. Leslie died April 19, 2004 in Michigan City, La Porte Co., IN. OBIT: L. David Allgood, 69, Michigan City, died Monday (April 19, 2004) at St. Anthony Memorial Health Centers. The funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at Carlisle Funeral Home, with Rick Jones officiating. Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Bloomington, Ind., to Leslie J. and Mary I. (Dillman) Allgood. On Feb. 25, 1995, in Michigan City, he married Constance G. (Carlucci) Mantanona, who survives. Survivors also include three daughters, Dianne (Thomas) Wagner, Michigan City, Amy (David) Smith, Elkhart, Ind., and Meg (Mark) Hayduk, Westville; five sons, John (Shari Michaels, fianc/) Allgood, Whitefish Bay, Wis.; Todd (Carolyn) Allgood, and Matthew Mantanona, both of Michigan City; Scott (Laurie) Bolka, Rolling Prairie, and James (Melody) Bolka, LaPorte; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Baker and Mary Ellen (Charles) Steinke, both of Michigan City, and Lou Alice Cappy, Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews. One brother, Donald Allgood, preceded him in death. Mr. Allgood worked for 20 years at Arno Adhesive Tape, EAR Corp. and the Department of Correction at Westville Correctional Center for eight years. He was past president of the LaPorte County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He also was a park policeman in Washington Park in the 1960s. He attended Countryside Christian Church. He was a collector of Monon Railroad memorabilia and was an avid woodworker. He hoped to join the compassion ministry at Countryside Christian Church because of the support he received.

He married twice.

Leslie David Allgood and Sally Mae Kneisley had the following children:
