Charles died September 30, 2003 in Linton, Greene Co., IN. OBIT: Charles Austin Allgood, 81, of Jasonville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born July 2, 1922 in Bloomington, he was the son of Clarence and Mable (Ragsdale) Allgood.
He had last worked at Indiana University, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Mable Allgood of Jasonville; son, Delbert Allgood of Spencer; four brothers, Raymond Allgood, Joseph Allgood and Jimmy Allgood all of Bloomington, and Frank "Bud" Allgood of Matthews, Ind; and one sister, Nancy Moore of Ellettsville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha V. Allgood in 1990; two brothers, John Allgood and Phillip "Bill" Allgood; one sister, Doris Holler; and his parents.
Graveside service will be at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington at 11 a.m. on Friday with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating.
He married Martha Lee Virginia Stevens 1949. Martha was born January 21, 1926 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN. Martha was the daughter of James A Stevens and Lola C. Tidd. Martha died May 26, 1990 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN.
Charles Austin Allgood and Martha Lee Virginia Stevens had the following children:
