Neta died July 23, 2007 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Neta Fay Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith, 76, died July 23, 2007, at her residence. She was born on Nov. 25, 1930, to Lawrence Smith and Melinda Smith. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Burnell Smith. Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Frank Elvin Smith, of Brookhaven; her son, Johnny Mitchell Smith and wife Marilyn, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Maxie Smith, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Clorene Boling and Kathleen Smith, both of Brookhaven; her grandsons, Chris M. Smith and wife Brandy, and Eric Smith and wife Jennifer, all of Brookhaven; and her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Slay, Gracie and Trevor.
She married Frank Elvin Smith November 8, 1947 in Lincoln Co., MS. Frank was born September 3, 1927 in Lincoln Co., MS. Frank was the son of Frank Smith and Nora Lee Smith. Frank died March 12, 2017 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co, MS.
