He married Mildred Britt December 21, 1935. Mildred was born February 3, 1916. Mildred was the daughter of Allen Monroe Britt and Selena Smith. Mildred died June 15, 2011. OBIT: Mildred Britt Smith, 95, of Wesson, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was a retiree of Stahl-Urban Garment Factory in Brookhaven. She was a seamstress and line supervisor. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Smith; her son, Randall Smith; and six siblings.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter-in-law, Becky Smith, of Brandon; her granddaughters, Leslie (Joe) Hill, of Madison, and Dr. Penni Smith, of Brandon; her grandson, Spencer (April) Smith, of Brandon; and her great-grandchildren, Rachel Cabell, of Brandon, Ross Cabell and Eva Hill, both of Madison, and Mason, Sawyer and Simon Smith, all of Brandon.

Martin Earl Smith and Mildred Britt had the following child:
