She married twice. She married Hughlon Smith. Hughlon was born October 17, 1923 in Lincoln Co., MS. Hughlon was the son of Pearlie M. Smith and Louella Smith. Hughlon died August 2, 2005 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Hughlon Smith of Brookhaven are 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Smith, 81, died Aug. 2, 2005, at Country Brook Living Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 17, 1923, to Pearlie Smith and Louella Smith Smith. He was a retired mechanic. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a disabled veteran of the Army, with service in World War II. Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Roger Hugh Smith; two sisters, Ruthie Dunn Smith and Ava Watts; and her brother, Hollis Smith. Survivors are his sister, Ruby Lofton of Bogue Chitto; five nephews; and one niece.

She married Ben Parmelee.

Hughlon Smith and Clara Jeanette Smith had the following child:
