Myrtis¹¹ Montgomery (William Pearlie¹⁰, Elizabeth Cordelia (Betsy)⁹ Walker, Cynthia LaPearl⁸ Allgood, Willis⁷, Wyatt⁶, William (Pikey) Henry⁵, William John⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Lincoln Co., MS October 17, 1927. Myrtis died April 2, 2003 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Myrtis Paxton Grice of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Friday, April 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Grice, 75, died April 2, 2003, at King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 17, 1927, to Pearlie Montgomery and Ruthie Smith Montgomery. She was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers. Survivors are her daughters, Joyce Bowman of Brookhaven and Jo Ann Bray of Attalla, Ala.; her brother, Alcus Montgomery of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Kevin Tillotson of Jayess, Michele McDonald of Ocean Springs, and Terri Linkey of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and one great-grandchild and five step great-grandchildren.

She married twice. She married Harold Lonzo Grice. Harold was born July 12, 1911. Harold was the son of Charles Quitman Grice and Ida Idella Woodall. Harold died September 27, 1987 in Lincoln Co., MS. Harold was buried in Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.

Myrtis Montgomery and Robert Paxton had the following children:
