Larry died November 10, 2000 in Meadville, Franklin Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Larry D. Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Smith, 74, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, of heart failure at Franklin County Hospital. He was born in Franklin County on Aug. 31, 1926, to the late Louis and Luna Smith Smith. He was a retired surveyor. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors are his son, Larry L. Smith of Brandon; daughters, Camellia Nettles of Brookhaven and Madaline Lee of Port Gibson; sister, Evelyn McManus of Brookhaven; five grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
