Wednesday, also at Riverwood.
Mr. Smith, 77 of Brookhaven passed away,
December 20, 2015 at Baptist Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 3, 1938 to Charles H. Smith
and Martha Jane Smith.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963, was
president of Local Machinist Union and Ole Miss Alumni.
He worked at Homelite Jacobsen as a journeyman tool
and die maker for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy Smith;
daughter, Sherry Smith Britt; son-in-law, Alton Britt; sister,
Christine Eakes; brother-in-law, Tommy Eakes; granddaughter,
Shelly Britt Price and husband Robert; grandson,
Charles Jimmy “C.J.” Britt; great granddaughter,
Riley Ann Price and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles Shelby Smith and Dorothy Ann Allred had the following child:
