Huey Ray¹² Smith (Thomas Madison¹¹, Lonnie M¹⁰, James Monroe⁹, Conway W.⁸, Priscilla⁷ Allgood, Wyatt⁶, William (Pikey) Henry⁵, William John⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Lincoln Co., MS December 21,1941. Huey died November 21, 2007 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Huey Ray Smith, of Brookhaven, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Smith, 65, died Nov. 21, 2007, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 21, 1941, to Thomas M. Smith and Vergie Walker Smith. He was a logger with Georgia-Pacific. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his son, Timmy R. Smith. Survivors are his wife, Sammie Smith, of Loyd Star; his son, Terry J. Smith, of Loyd Star; his brothers, Gary Thomas Smith and Randel Smith, both of Loyd Star, and Louis King, of Florence; his one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

He married Sammy Lane King. Sammy was the daughter of Samuel Dock King and Bonnie Mae Lea.

Huey Ray Smith and Sammy Lane King had the following children:

 54443 ii. Timothy (Tim) Ray Smith was born in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS November 15, 1963. Timothy died January 12, 1987. Tim was buried in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.
