Carrie died February 22, 2004 in Harahan, LA. OBIT; A memorial service for Carrie Laverne Smith of Harahan, La., will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday from 1-4 p.m., at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith, 61, died Feb. 22, 2004, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County on March 17, 1942, to W. Vernon Smith and Iva Pearl Case Smith. She was a registered nurse at Oschner's Hospital in New Orleans, La., where she worked in case management. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors are her daughters and son-in-law, Pam and Steve Cantalano of Harahan and Melissa Stoufflat of New Orleans; her sisters, Margaret Watts of Denham Springs, La., Imer Jean Kimble of Vicksburg, Nita Smith and Betty Walker of Brookhaven; her brother, C. Marcell Smith of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Brice, Collin and Allie Cantalano, and Russell Guidroz; her special friend, Jerry Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews,great-niecesandgreat-nephews.

She married twice. She married (___) Stoufflet.
