Linda died June 5, 2002 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Linda Gail Fairchild of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, June 6, from 4-10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fairchild, 55, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at her residence. She was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 27, 1946, to Selma Britt Smith of Brookhaven and the late Whittney Smith.

She worked at Stahl Urban for 21 years and at Auburn Sportswear. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her father and a sister, Janet Rebbecka Smith.

Survivors are her mother; husband, Henry Fairchild; son, Jewell Fairchild; half-brother, Doyle Kelly Britt, all of Brookhaven; and half-sisters, Rita Beaty, Tammy Williams and Abby Binyan, all of Chickasha, Okla.

Linda Gail Smith and Henry Vernon Fairchild had the following child:
