James died March 24, 2009 in Jackson, HInds Co., MS. OBIT: Services for James Mitchell Coone, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Red Star Ward with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home on North Jackson Street and Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Coone, 55, died March 24, 2009, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Hinds County on Sept. 26, 1953, to James Vernon Coone and Juanita Ratcliff Coone.
He was a truck driver. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Red Star Ward.
Preceding him in death were his father, James V. Coone; and a sister, Carolyn Beth Coone.
Survivors are his mother, Juanita Ratcliff Coone, of Brookhaven; his wife, Helen Johnson Coone, of Brookhaven; his sons, Tim and Danny Coone, both of Brookhaven; a brother, James Stanley Coone, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Mary Catherine Smith, of Brookhaven, and Anita Darlene Crawford, of Ocean Springs; and his two grandchildren, Garnett Lee Coone and Chloe Leanna Coone.
James Mithchell Coone and Helen Marie Johnson had the following children:
