George died July 4, 2007 in Magnolia, Pike Co., MS. OBIT: _George Chapman Jr., 32, of Magnolia, MS died there July 4, 2007.

Visitation is 5 to 9 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, and 9 a.m. Monday until services there at 10 a.m. Dr. Barry Ward and Dr. Rodrick Conerly will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Osyka. Mr. Chapman was born March 28, 1975, in McComb. He was the son of George and Emma Chapman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Magnolia. He was a South Pike graduate "Class of 1993," a U.S. Navy veteran and was employed for seven years at Weyerhaeuser Co. of Magnolia. Mr. Chapman was an avid hunter and fisherman with a new love for saltwater fishing. He loved working around the house and would usually stay at it all day long. Mr. Chapman and his family had a passion for camping and bike riding, taking a trip almost every weekend. He also had a love for riding four-wheelers with his family and friends. He never met a stranger even though he was quiet at times. He loved his family and will be missed dearly. Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cliff and Zilpha Hudson of Magnolia; and paternal grandfather, Liston Chapman of McComb. Survivors include his wife, Nikki Chapman of Magnolia; two sons, Brandon Chapman and Tucker Chapman, both of Magnolia; one brother, B.J. Chapman and wife Julie of Magnolia; grandmother, Doris L. Chapman of McComb; and in-laws, Randy and Bert Rhodus and their children, Casee and Kelly. Pallbearers will be B.J. Chapman, Adam Barron, Nelson Estess, Joe Dunn, Landee Lott and Greg Rhodus. Honorary pallbearers are David Landry and Lamar Chapman.
