He married Ova Mae Hayes March 5, 1938. Ova was born October 20, 1918. Ova was the daughter of Havey Reynold Hayes and Willie Tommie Fitzhugh. Ova died January 3, 1983.

Ernest (Ernie) King Baity and Ova Mae Hayes had the following child:
