Jackie Lee¹¹ Hohlt (Florence O¹⁰ Norman, Minnie⁹ Dudman, George Absolom⁸, Sarah Sally⁷ Baity, Rebecca⁶ Allgood, William (Pikey) Henry⁵, William John⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born October 21, 1930. Jackie died April 22, 2009 in Kinmundy, Marion Co., IL. OBIT: Jack L. Hohlt, 78, of Kinmundy died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at home.

There will be no public funeral service. Burial will be private in Farina Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina. Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted by Rankin Funeral Home, Salem.

Mr. Hohlt was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Meacham Township, Marion County, the son of Elno and Florence (Norman) Hohlt who preceded him in death. Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950 to 1953 as a corporal rifleman of George Company, 3rd Batallion, 2nd Marines Division, and was a marine through and through. Following his return home, he worked in the oil field and for Brown Produce in Farina. He then worked in the ag fertilizer business until his health failed. He was a member of American Legion Post 411 for 50 years. Jack loved horses, attending Cheyenne (Wyo.) Rodeo for many years. He also enjoyed participating in local parades with his team and buggy. He was a volunteer fireman, avid gardener and true family man, often called on for his favorite recipes. He was a local historian, holding many memories in his mind. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He married Donna Joy Mitchell Nov. 3, 1954, at Effingham, and she survives in Kinmundy.

Surviving are his son, Kurt (Mandy) Hohlt of Edgewood; daughters, Cathy (Doug) Hall and Deanna Hohlt, both of Kinmundy, Belinda (Steve) Bridges of Louisville; sister, Jeannette (George) Maxey of Greeley, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James L. Hohlt; grandson, Craig A. Edwards; and infant brothers, James "Jimmy" and Frederick Hohlt.

Jackie Lee Hohlt and Donna Joy Mitchell had the following children:
