Arah died April 12, 2013. OBIT: Arah Lee "Mutt" Dellinger Rozzelle, 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2013 after a long illness with Alzheimer's disease. She died peacefully at her residence with family and loved ones thanks to the special people at Hospice Charlotte Region.

Arah was born on July 3, 1921 to the late Carl E. Dellinger, Sr., and Lucy Rutledge Dellinger. She was a retired CMS teacher aid and was a member of Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Spiritual Life Sunday school class. Over the years she taught children's Sunday school, served as a youth leader with her husband John and was a member of the choir. Arah was also a quilter with the Quilting Bees which she so loved.

Arah enjoyed being a homemaker, loved to cook and bake, can fresh vegetables from their garden. She enjoyed coming home from church on Sundays and preparing a huge family meal. Sewing was also her passion, as she sewed many dresses and outfits for her family and Halloween costumes for the grandchildren. Her husband and she were members of Carolina Travel Trailer club, as they enjoyed camping all over the Carolinas with other members of the club for many years. Many times the grandchildren would accompany them on trips.

Arah will be remembered as a nurturer and caregiver, as she spent a good portion of her life caring for terminally ill family members. Even though she endured some sad times in life including losing both of her children to cancer, she remained a faithful follower of Christ and honored Him until the end of her life.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00PM, Sunday, April 21st at Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. T.J. Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be private.

Arah is survived by a granddaughter, Teena Henline Ridenhour and husband Wayne, of Charlotte; two great-grandsons, Jordan Ridenhour and Christian Ridenhour; a great-granddaughter, Anna Lee Ridenhour and three great-great-grandsons, all of Charlotte.

In addition to her parents, Arah was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hooper Rozzelle; a daughter, Phyllis Rozzelle Henline; a son, John Michael "Mickey" Rozzelle; two brothers, William Sunday "Bill" Dellinger and Carl E. "Jo" Dellinger, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Dellinger Mauro.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to family friends, Ms. Helen Reece and Miss Shirley Reece who helped with her daily care over the last several years. Also a special thanks to T.J. Thompson and the members of Cook's that came with him to share in Communion and visits with her all of the years she was unable to attend church.

She married Johnny Hooper Rozzelle JR. Johnny was born May 26, 1919. Johnny was the son of Johnny Hooper Rozzelle. Johnny died September 10, 2001 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC.

Arah Lee Dellinger and Johnny Hooper Rozzelle JR had the following children:

 26602 i. Phyllis Yvonne11 Rozzelle was born September 2,1941.

 26603 ii. John Michael Rozzelle was born July 23,1948. John died November 1, 2000.
