Mary Shannon10 Holman (Mary9 Simons, Louisa Jane8 Ely, Susan Ann7 Childers, Elizabeth6 Allgood, John5, Ishmael4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Hereford, Deaf Smith Co., TX December 19, 1923. Mary died October 14, 2001 in El Paso, El Paso Co., TX. OBIT: Early Sunday morning, the Kennedy family experienced the loss of our mother, MARY. Mrs. Kennedy died early in the morning from complications of a long illness. Four daughters, Mary Katherine Kennedy, Anne Louise Kennedy, Elizabeth Smith and Ruth Fernandez; and two sons, Rev. Mr. William C. Kennedy, III of Nacogdoches, TX and Michael Joseph Kennedy of Conway, AR survive her. Her sister Roberta Ann Ziegler also survives her. She had 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She and her husband, Maj. William C. Kennedy, Jr. (AUS Ret.) were wed June 30, 1943. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Kennedy was born on December 19, 1923 in Hereford, TX. She and her family traveled extensively in keeping with her husband's career. Mrs. Kennedy gave tirelessly of herself as a devoted mother, a wonderful grandmother, and a great and loving friend for many. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 15th in St.Raphael's Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar with MSGR Francis J. Smith officiating. Intermentwill follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
She married William Clement Kennedy II June 30, 1943. William was born May 2, 1914 in Waterbury, New Haven Co., CT. William was the son of William C. Kennedy and Katherine Teresa Seery. William died October 24, 1997 in El Paso, El Paso Co., TX.
