Mildred Elizabeth10 Maynard (Rebecca Ann9 Hutchens, Mary Elizabeth8 Allgood, Henry P.7, Henry Robert6, William (Pikey) Henry5, William John4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in New Castle, Henry Co., IN March 22,1915. Mildred died September 12, 2000 in Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence Co., NY. OBIT: Mildred Elizabeth Wooten, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at the home of her granddaughter, Michele Burnett, of Ogdensburg, N.Y., with whom she had lived for several years.
Mrs. Wooten was born March 22, 1915, in New Castle, Ind., the daughter of Tyre and Rebecca Hutchin Maynard. She married Eugene Lawton Wooten on March 31, 1935, in Danville, Va. Her husband died Sept. 10, 1994.
She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of Oak Ridge. Her interests were her family, home and friends.
Mrs. Wooten is survived by her sons, Donald Wooten and his wife, Laurna, of Clinton, Mont., Jerry Wooten and his wife, Mary Ann, of Oak Ridge, Randy Wooten and his wife, Sandy, and Richard Wooten and his wife, Terri, all of Anchorage, Alaska; and by her daughter, Betty Davis and her husband, Donald, of Theresa, N.Y.
She is also survived by her brothers, Forrest Maynard and his wife, Vivian, of Florida and Johnny Maynard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; her sisters, Nancy Baity and her husband, Boone, of Yadkinville, N.C., and Donnie Vestal and her husband, Blaine, of Winston-Salem; and by 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Eugene Grace officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
She married Eugene Lawson Wooten March 31, 1935 in Danville, Danville Cio., VA. Eugene was born August 14, 1914 in NC. Eugene was the son of Wiliam Walton Wooten and Florance Augsta Hill. Eugene died September 10, 1994 in Oak Ridge, Anderson Co., TN.
