Maggie died May 4, 2010 in Elberton, Elbert Co. GA. OBIT: Louise Allgood Berryman, 98, of 651 Rhodes Dr. Elberton widow of the late Joseph Welthy Berryman died Tuesday May 4, 2010. Born in Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late John William Allgood and Nancy "Betty" Elizabeth Gunter Allgood. She was a member of Carlton Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws Maxine and Bobby McMurry, Marilyn and Charles Heard, Beth and Alan Vaughter, and Joy and John Jordan, sons and daughter-in-laws Harlan and Peggy Berryman, Faine Berryman and Betty Carter, and Wendall and Patti Berryman, 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 6, 2010 at 4PM at Carlton Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Duhon officiating. Burial will follow in Carlton City Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 7-9PM Wednesday night at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Allen Berryman, Emery Heard, Phil Berryman, Russell McMurry, Kevin Vaughter, Eric Berryman, Bryan Berryman, and Ben Jordan.
She married Joseph Welthy Berryman. Joseph was born March 13, 1908 in Walnut Grove, GA. Joseph was the son of Maximillian Robertson Berryman and Sarah Frances (Fannie) Christian. Joseph died June 21, 1976 in Carlton, Madison Co., GA.
