Mrs. Cunningham was born in St. Elmo on Feb. 17, 1911, the daughter of Charles W. and Zora Dance Sapp. She retired as cafeteria manager and cook from the Niantic School District. She was a member of Harristown Christian Church and was active with Christian Women's Fellowship. She married Emmertt Cunningham April 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1994.

She married twice. She married (____) Miller. She married Emmett Karl Cunningham April 27, 1941. Emmett was born March 3, 1907 in Hillsboro, Jefferson Co., MO. Emmett was the son of William A. Cunningham and Nellie Mae Barbee. Emmett died January 1, 1994 in Decatur, Macon Co., IL. OBIT: Emmett Karl Cunningham, 86, of Decatur died 10:41 a.m. Saturday Jan. 1, 1994) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Mr. Cunningham was born March 3, 1907, in Hillsboro, Mo., the son of William. and Nellie Mae Barbee Cunningham. He was retired from A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. a member of the Summitt Masonic Lodge and served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific. He married MayBelle Sapp Miller on April 27, 1941. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Karla L. Gardner of Decatur; brothers Guy and wife Louise of Georgia; Harry "Pete" and wife Bernice "Pe Wee" of Tuscola; sisters, Lena "Peanuts" Langdon and husband William "Willie" of Sun City, Ariz.; Mary "Mickey" Rhodes of Springfield; 10 nieces and nephews 20 great-nieces and great-nephews; 20 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; close friends, Chasetta "Sam" Munsterman and J.D.Giles. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Modamma "Babe" Murphy nd Myrtle "DeDe" Cunningham..
