Nina died February 12, 2014 in Granite Shoals, Burnet Co., TX. OBIT: Nina Esther McErlean, 91, of Granite Shoals, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 12, 2014. She was born March 17, 1923, in Westfork, Ark., the daughter of Jesse and Betty Farmer.
She is survived by daughter, Patricia Gouge of Cottonwood Shores; son, John G McErlean and wife Vickie of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Betty Farmer; husband, John McErlean; son-in-law, Dennis Gouge; and brothers, Bill Farmer and Charles Farmer.
She retired from the Fort Worth Post Office after 25 years of service. Nina enjoyed gardening, traveling and crocheting.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Feb. 15 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A graveside service is 10 a.m. Feb. 18 at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio.
She married John George McErlean. John was born May 31, 1927. John died May 19, 2008.
Nina Esther Farmer and John George McErlean had the following children:
