Marvin died March 15, 2012 in Erick, OK. OBIT: Marvin John Gamble 67 of Erick, Oklahoma died Thursday March 15, 2012.
Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday in Erick First Baptist Church with the Rev Charlie Floyd officaiting. Burial will be in Erick Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home of Erick.
Marvin was born November 18, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to Eunice and J.M. Gamble. He moved with his parents to Erick and later to Texola and graduated from Erick High School in 1963. He graduated from Cameron Junior College and attended Oklahoma State University. He entered the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he graduated from Panhandle State College with a degree in agriculture.
He married Marlene Elizabeth Brunson on August 10, 1969 in Amarillo, Texas. When they moved to Texola he began his teaching career at Sayer Junior College, Gotebo, Reydon, Dill City, Northwest Classen in Oklahoma City, Eldorado and Tyron. They moved back home where he was the principal in Erick and helped his father on the family farm. Marvin worked for Halliburton for 10 years and worked for Bar L Water Haulers. He was a member of Texola Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Timothy Aaron Gamble.
Survivors include his wife; a son John Gamble and wife Deana of Amarillo; two daughters Danyelle Gamble-Noland and husband Thomas of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Andrea Chapman and husband Heath of Midwest City; a sister Mary Ellen Driscoll of Idalou, Texas; six grandchildren: Tate Gamble, Bailey Chapman, Gabriel Noland, Heath Chapman Jr, Callie Chapman and Elliott Chapman; three brothers-in-law Franklin Brunson of Eldorado Springs, Missouri, Thomas Brunson and wife Julie of Alva and Kinney Brunson of Amarillo; a sister-in-law Noreenia Brunson of Amarillo; and many other relatives and friends.
Marvin John Gamble and Marlene Elizabeth Brunson had the following children:

28858 iv. Timothy Aaron Gamble was born November 25, 1972. Timothy died October 10,1990.
