Jacqueline died February 15, 2002. IVURL Jacqueline Ensey Martin of dickinson , Texas, age 58, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2002. She was born on May 26, 1943, in Lynwood, California. She is a 1965 graduate of North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She served as the Administrative Director of CHARIOT, ( Childrens Hospitals and Related Institutions of Texas), a children's healthcare advocacy organization, and she formerly served in administrative support positions at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
She met David Martin in college and was married on October 15, 1966. She was very involved with his military career for the past 35 years. She was also very involved with her community by doing volunteer work and serving as a Girl Scout leader for her daughters' troops. Jackie was very passionate about reading and when given a job to do she did not quit until it was finished. Jackie was constantly giving to others in and of herself to friends and family.
Preceded in death by her mother, Marie Ensey. Jackie is survived by her beloved husband Dave Martin and two daughters, Jennifer Martin and Julie Ferrell; son-in-law Shane Ferrell; two granddaughters, Ashley and Haley Ferrell all of dickinson; her father Jack and wife, Fay Ensey of Granbury, Texas; her sister, Carolyn Phipps of Garland Texas, and mother-in-law Julia Martin of Dallas, Texas, and her many friends and professional colleagues.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 frim 6 to 8 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a reception in the fellowship hall following the service. Interment on Friday, February 22, 2002 at the Veterans National Cemetery, Houston, Texas. Along with her devotion to her family and friends , Jackie loved education and pleasure reading.
She married Joseph David Martin October 15,1966.
