He married Elisabeth Lewis Powell October 12,1941. Elisabeth was born July 25, 1920 in Dickens, Dickens Co., TX. Elisabeth was the daughter of Walter L. Powell and Aurora Archer. Elisabeth died December 17, 2003 in Lacey, Thurston Co., WA. OBIT: Elisabeth Ensey, 83, died peacefully Dec. 17, 2003, in Olympia, Wash., where she had resided with her daughter Sandy since 1992. She was born Elisabeth Powell on July 25, 1920, in Dickens, Texas, to Walter Lee Powell and Aurora Archer Powell. Elisabeth graduated from Spur High School in 1938 and attended Texas Tech. On Oct. 12, 1941, she married childhood sweetheart, Minyard Ensey. Following World War II, they settled in Odessa, where they owned and operated Ensey Drug from 1951 to 1971. Minyard preceded her in death in 1976. During her 45 years in Odessa, she was active in Hospice, the Women's Hospital Auxiliary, the Rebekah Lodge, Parker Heights Christian Church and Antioch Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter Sandy Hollingshead of Olympia; and grandchildren, Misty of Los Angeles, Kristopher of Norman, Okla., and Mindy of Colorado Springs, Colo. One brother, Archer Powell, preceded her in death in 1982. Elisabeth's memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 17, 2004, in the Round Up Chapel in the First Methodist Church in Spur.
