Richard died October 11,2011 in Flora, Clay Co., IL. OBIT: Richard W. Parish, 62, of Flora, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
Richard was born in Flora, Illinois to William Parish & Opal (Bute) Parish.
Richard graduated from Flora High School in 1967. Later, he served in the United States Army until 1975. Richard enjoyed working with and riding horses. He enjoyed his time on the farm, as well as, carpentry and mechanics.
Richard is survived by three sons: Eric & wife Megan Billingsley of Clay City, Jarod & wife Misty Parish of Flora, and Kyle & wife Amanda Parish of Xenia, his mother Opal Parish of Flora, five grandchildren: Hunter and Bailey Billingsley, and Andrew, Britten, and Madison Parish, and Corbin & Colby Parish, three sisters: Judy Burk of Lebanon, IL, Nancy Powell of O'Fallon, IL, and Sharon Byrd of Flora, IL, and two brothers: Preston Parish of Olney, IL, and Roger Parish of Flora, IL.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, William Parish, 1 brother; Robert Parish, and 1 sister Billie Guerrettaz.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 2PM at McCabe Baptist Church in Flora with military honors.
