Elsie died April 30, 2016 in Matthews, Mecklenburg Co., NC. OBIT: Janet Jenkins Harding, 79, of Charlotte, NC, passed away April 30, 2016 at CMC Main in Charlotte. She was born July 22, 1936, in Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of Edmund Thomas Jenkins and Pauline Peoples Jenkins.Janet was a graduate of Meredith College and had a love for cooking, reading, history, genealogy, crafts and crossword puzzles. She had a wondrous wit and loved to make people laugh.She is survived by her husband; William K. Harding, Jr. of Matthews, NC, children; Emily Parker (Tony) of Statesville, NC, Ben Harding (Carolyn) of Orlando, FL, and four grandchildren. Janet is also survived by a brother; C. Michael Jenkins of Ennice, NC.A memorial service is planned for Saturday, May 7th, at 733 Plantation Estates Drive, Matthews, NC, at 11:00 AM.
