Roscoe died March 9, 2006 in Springfield, Greene Co., MO. OBIT: Roscoe V. "Rocky" Dodson, 89, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday evening, March 9, 2006, following a short illness. He was born in Niangua, Missouri, and was a lifelong resident of the Springfield and Ash Grove areas. He was retired from Frisco Railroad and was an Army veteran of World War II. He had attended the Baptist church. Rocky and Mildred Wallace were united in marriage on January 12, 1947. To this union five sons were born. They were privileged to share 24 years. Mildred preceded him in death on February 21, 1971. He and Imogene Green were united in marriage on November 14, 1975. They were privileged to share 13 years. She preceded him in death on May 30, 1989. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Verda Pettit Dodson one son, Dennis Dodson on February 17, 2004 and grandson, Chris Dodson on March 13, 2002. He is survived by four sons, Dallas and wife, Barbara Dodson, of Topeka, Kan., Doug and wife, Robbie Dodson, of House Springs, Mo., Duane and wife, Trudy Dodson, of Springfield, Mo., and Dwight and wife, Deb Dodson, of Lusby, Maryland 12 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren two sister, Hazel Wilkinson and Ruth Lott, both of Springfield and a longtime friend, Imogene Elliott of Springfield. Services will be Monday, March 13, 2006, at 2 p.m. in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove, with Rev. Tom Geer officiating. Interment will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery, with full military honors under the auspices of the Missouri Military Honors "Bravo" Team. He married twice. He married Mildred M. Wallace January 12, 1947. Mildred was born September 26, 1924. Mildred died February 21, 1971. He married Imogene Green November 14, 1975. Imogene died May 30, 1989.
