Junior died December 23, 2006 in Little Rock, Pulaski Co, AR. OBIT: Junior S. Bechtel, 82, of Benton died December 23, 2006, in Little Rock.

He was born December 23, 1924, in Dunklin County, Missouri, to W.E. and Evelyn Jones Bechtel.

Mr. Bechtel retired as a truck driver, after 42 years of service with ABF and Teamster.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and James Bechtel.

Survivors include six children, Clint Bechtel of Winfield, Missouri, Connie Bechtel of Fort Worth, Texas, Jack Gibson and wife Kathy of Benton, Kenny Bechtel and wife Barbara of Holcomb, Missouri, Mike Bechtel and wife Teresa of Benton and Jane Hixson and husband Junior, of Collinsville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Clinton Wayne Bechtel, Tonya Bechtel, Christy Bechtel, Jonathan Bechtel, Douglas Gibson and Alex Bechtel; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Lavita Blanton of Holcomb, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, with Joe Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
