He married Ruby A. Taylor June 27, 1942 in McCrory, Woodruff Co., AR. Ruby was born February 4, 1921 in Pumpkin Bend Community, AR. Ruby was the daughter of Charlie S. Taylor and Magnolia Holt. Ruby died January 16, 2014 in McCrory, Woodruff Co., AR. OBIT: MRS. RUBY TAYLOR ALLGOOD WIGGINS, resident of McCrory, died on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She was 92 years of age.
Visitation was from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory. Interment was in Pumpkin Bend Cemetery with Thompson-Wilson Directors in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ruby was born in the Pumpkin Bend Community on February 4, 1921 to Charlie Taylor, Sr., and Maggie Holt Taylor. She attended school in Pumpkin Bend and in June of 1941 she married Otha Allgood who preceded her in death. She later married Cecil Wiggins and with him she attended the First Church of the Nazarene in McCrory. Mr. Wiggins preceded her in death in 2011. During her life, she was employed by Van Heusen Shirt Factory for 20 years. She also worked at the former Woodruff County Nursing Home on old Highway 64 B with Mary Carter in the beauty shop. A very active lady, Mrs. Ruby enjoyed yard work and gardening and sharing the bounty of both. She was a strong witness for God not only by her life but in her witnessing as well. Her Bible is well worn because she depended on the words in it for her life support. She not only considered herself a blessed woman but she blessed those around her. The last of the Taylor siblings, she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children and spouses: Delores and Don Rhodes of Robertsville, Mo., Cliff and Nancy Allgood of Cordova, TN., Bill and Linda Wiggins of Sparks, Nevada, Charlie and Lana Wiggins of McCrory, Bill and Joyce Trimble of Beebe and Joann and Harold Meredith of Sherwood, one granddaughter, Karen Brickman and husband Brett of Eureka, MO., two great-grandchildren Jessica and Caden Brickman, and numerous other grand and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Brett Brickman, Cade Brickman, Van Scott, Phillip Wiggins, Ronnie Curtis, Steven Dewitt, Rhondie Robinson, Doyle Fowler, and Ellis Reeves.
Otha Clifton Allgood and Ruby A. Taylor had the following children:
