Everett was the son of Lorenza Dowe Conner and Levina Smith. Everett died March 30, 1974 in Clay City, Clay Co., IL. Everett was buried in the Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, Clay County, Illinois

23745 i. Lester Dale11 Conner was born in Iuka, Marion Co., IL August 4, 1924. Lester died January 22, 1948 in Marion, Williamson Co., IL. Marion. Jan 23. Lester Dale Conner, 23, was killed yesterday in a traffic accident blamed on the weather. Conner, was crushed to death in the cab of a tuck which skidded off a highway covered with snow near Marion. Conner a driver for the Banker Trust Company of Clay City. Obit: Lester Dale Conner, son of Everett and Nica Conner as born August 4, 1924 at Iuka, Illinois and departed this life January 22nd 1948 near Marion, Illinois, at the age of 23 years, 5 months, and 18 days. He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs. Everett Conner; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs Ira Pate of Clay City, Pvt. Harold D. Conner with the U. U. S. Army Air Force on Alaska. John Dowe and Joyce Ann Conner at home; the grandmother Mrs. Nellie Mason of Olney; and a host of others relatives and friends. Lester Dale Conner entered the U. S. Army, April 21, 1945 served six months in Texas and California, and was honorably discharged due to ill health. He spent most of his life in and around Clay City.
