She married Ira James Pate February 2, 1946 in Champaign, Champaign Co. IL. Ira was born August 15, 1906 in Rome, Tallapoosa Co., AL. Ira was the son of James Archie Pate and Emily Jane Williams. Ira died February 3, 1997 in Olney, Richland Co., IL. Obit: Ira J. PATE 90, of Olney, formerly of Clay City, died at 11 p. m. Monday, Feb 3, 1997 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home, Olney. Funeral service will be at 1 p. m. Friday, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Clay City, Pastor William Thompson will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Clay City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor of choice. Mr. Pate was born on Aug 15, 906, in Alabama the son of Archie J. and Emily J. Pate. He married Betty p. Conner in 1946. She died in 1992. He was a member of the Clay City American Legion 840. Surviving are one son, Billy Pate of Clay City; one brother Marvin Pate of Tulsa, Ok; three grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, three brothers and four sisters.

 40160 ii. Billy Dale Pate was born in Clay City, Clay Co., IL April 8, 1948. Billy died November 6, 2010 in Lake Wales, Polk Co., FL. OBIT: Billy Dale Pate, 62, of Clay City died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Lake Wales Medical Center, Lake Wales, Fla.

Mr. Pate was born April 8, 1948, in Clay City, the son of Ira and Betty (Connor) Pate. He was an oil field worker and also worked at Hella in Flora. Billy was a member of Louisville American Legion and Eagles. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by one son, James Dale (Amy) Pate of Louisville; four grandchildren, Cody Dell Pate, Tesla Enlow, Abby Nicole Pate and Emily Dawn Pate; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services were held at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville with military rites by the American Legion.

Burial was in Clay City Cemetery.

He married twice.
