Audrey died November 27, 2005 in Lindon, Utah Co., UT. OBIT: Audrey Scott Huber, 87, passed away Nov. 27, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Lindon, Utah, due to causes incident to age.
She was born in Brookhaven on July 14, 1918, the second daughter of Della Smith and Denon Scott. Audrey graduated from Loyd Star High School in 1937 and married Bennie L. Woolley in 1938. They had one daughter, Rita Ann. Bennie passed away in July 1941. After Benny's death, Audrey went to work for her brother-in-law at J.A. Huber Shoe Shop in Jackson. In 1956, she marred Clarence C. Hultz but was again a widow in 1958. She married Henry A. Huber in 1974, and they continued to run the business together until poor health forced them to close the shop. Huber Shoe Shop was a landmark on Capitol Street for many years, and Audrey made many friends there in the 42 years she worked. Widowed again in 1981, she moved to Clinton until 1999, when she moved to Utah to live with her daughter and to be near her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Survivors include daughter Rita Woolley Penix (Roy G.), of Lindon; two granddaughters, Audrey Theresa Allred (Mike), of Lehi, Utah, and Debra Michelle Okelberry (Scott), of American Fork, Utah; seven great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Joshua and Rebecca Allred, Matthew, Camille, Steven and Michelle Okelberry. She is also survived by sisters, Wisie Smith, of Wesson, Nita Hanenkrat, of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Virginia Hurst, of Brookhaven. Audrey was preceded in death by three husbands; her parents; and an older sister, Agnes Woolley. The family would like to give special thanks to Leann Jackson. She has been Audrey's hospice nurse during her illness and a very special friend to all of us. She has been our own angel during the last three years. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, at 12:30 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to services at 11 a.m.
She married three times. She married Bennie Lamar Woolley October 31, 1938 in Jackson, Hinds Co, MS. Bennie was born March 30, 1914. Bennie was the son of Thaddeus (Thad) Maxfield Woolley and Bettie Ida McRee. Bennie died July 14, 1941 in Hinds Co., MS. Bennie was buried in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.
She married Clarence Calvin Hultz June 19, 1954 in MS. Clarence was born March 23, 1909. Clarence died December 2, 1957 in Jackson, Hinds Co, MS. Clarence was buried in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.
She married Henry Augustus Huber January 17, 1973 in Jackson, Hinds Co, MS. Henry was born June 8, 1893. Henry died December 1,1983 in Jackson, Hinds Co, MS.
