Mrs. Smith, 92, of Wesson, passed away March 31, 2014 at Brook Manor.She was born June 14, 1921 to Denon Scott and Della Smith Scott.She was a member of Sweetwater United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Smith; parents, Denon & Della Scott; sisters, Agnes Wooley, Nita Hanenkrat, Audrey Huber; brother Landon Scott; granddaughter Rhonda Smith Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sue Smith and husband John Butler Smith of Wesson and sister, Virginia Scott Hurst. She is also survived by grandchildren, Deanna Edwards and husband Pittman Edwards Jr. of Cleveland MS. and Trey Thomas of Brookhaven MS,5 great grandchildren, Trace Edwards; Sara Peyton Edwards; John Butler Edwards; Anna Thomas and Abby Thomas.
She married Denver Everett Smith April 5,1941. Denver was born April 14, 1918 in Wesson, Copiah Co, MS. Denver was the son of Ulyess Prentiss (Print) Smith and Beulah Irene Kimble. Denver died November 7, 1985. Denver was buried in Sweetwater Methodist Church Cemetery, Copiah Co., MS.
