Claude Everett¹¹ Newman (Archibald (Archie) Eugene¹⁰, Zilphia Ann⁹ Smith, Perry G.⁸, Priscilla⁷ Allgood, Wyatt⁶, William (Pikey) Henry⁵, William John⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Bude, Franklin Co., MS May 5, 1920. Claude died January 14, 2012 in Franklin Co., MS. OBIT: Funeral services for Claude E. Newman, of Bude, are 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, at Franklin Funeral Home, with burial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Sunday from 4 until 6 p.m. and Monday from 8 until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Newman, 91, died Jan. 14, 2012, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin County on May 5, 1920, to Archie and Mary Murray Newman.

He was retired from Chevron Inc. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bude.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and a daughter.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Milton Newman; sons, Lloyd Newman, of Thorsby, Ala., and Hilton Murray Jr. and wife, Nell, of Perkinston; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He married twice. He married Dorothy Milton June 16, 1950. Dorothy is the daughter of Cecil Milton and Jessie Lee Zumbro.

Claude Everett Newman had the following children:
