Donald died June 23, 2002 in Magnolia, MS. OBIT: Services for Donald Gene Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, 60, died June 23, 2002, at Beacham Memorial Hospital. He was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 27, 1941, to Leonard Smith and Nannie Bell Leggett Smith.

He worked in construction and was a surveyor for Michael Baker Engineers. He was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church. He had served in the National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his son, Brad G. Smith and wife Teresa of Brookhaven; his daughter, Dory Smith-Givens and husband Conway of Brookhaven; his brothers, Charles Leonard Smith of Wesson and Kenneth Earl Smith of Bogue Chitto; and his grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Patrick Smith, and Johnathan Smith. i

Donald Gene Smith and Mary Ann Malone had the following children:

 42167 i. Bradford (Brad) Gene¹² Smith (still alive).

 42168 ii. Dory Ann Smith (living).
