Charles died December 19, 2014 in Wesson, Copiah Co, MS. OBIT: Funeral Service for Charles Leonard Smith, Sr. will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Clear Branch Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, December 20 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, and will resume at 1:00 pm until time of service at Clear Branch Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 71, of Wesson, passed away December 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 28, 1943 to Leonard Smith and Nannie Bell Leggett Smith. He was in the construction industry and worked as a carpenter, and was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Gene Smith and beloved niece, Kimberly Darlene Smith Hux.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Barlow Smith; sons Charles L. (Chuck) Smith, Jr. & wife Lori McGowen Smith, Ronnie L. Smith & wife Mindy Marshall Smith, James Lance Smith & wife Teresa Brown Smith; brother, Kenneth Earl Smith & wife Dorothy Carlisle Smith; 4 grandchildren Keifer Smith, Connor Smith, Marissa Smith & Morgan Smith; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins & their husbands, wives & children.
Charles Leonard Smith and Marjorie Carolyn Barlow had the following children:
