James died March 14, 1997 in Litchfield, Montogomery Co., IL. OBIT: James Parrott "Rusty" Kruse, operator of Kruse Auto Salvage for 46 years, died at 7:40 this morning, Friday, March 14, 1997, in St Francis Hospital. Mr Kruse, 76 years old on January 23, was a life member and past commander of Litchfield VFW Post 3912. A veteran of World War II, he served in Both the Navy and the Army. While in the Army, he was a paratrooper in the European Theatre. He was also a member of the Litchfield Country Club. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Benjamin and Belvia Parrott Kruse. He married Rosemary Laverne Jackson on August 13, 1958, in Monticello, Ind. She survives. Surviving also are sons, James P Kruse and wife Becky of Farmersville, John A Kruse and wife Valerie of Litchfield, E Scott Kruse and wife Toi of Litchfield; a daughter Robin Degler and husband Mike of Litchfield; brother, George Kruse of Virden; sisters, Betty Maynard and husband Henry of Litchfield, Charlene Fosnaugh and husband LaVern of Springfield, Delores Kruse of Litchfield; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Timothy in infancy; a brother, John A Kruse and an infant brother, Benjamin. The family will receive friends in the Plummer Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm. Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday in the funeral home with the Revs Paul Carter of Irving and Robert Mallicoat of Jacksonville officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with full military honors.
He married Rosemary Laverne Jackson August 13, 1958 in Monticello, IN. Rosemary was born May 11, 1941 in Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL. Rosemary was the daughter of James W Rufus Jackson and Gertrude Lucille Cearlock. Rosemary died April 6, 1998 in Litchfield, Montgomery Co., IL.
