Betty died December 14, 2004 in Trout, LsSalle Parish, LA. OBIT: Betty Ann Doughty Garlington, 61, of Trout, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at her home.
She was a self-employed beautician. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Mickey Hudnall officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Mike Garlington of Trout; two daughters, Connie Arlene Thiels McCann of Trout, and Jennifer Suzanne Thiels Boyd of Jena; one son, Scott Alan Thiels of Pollock; her mother, Annie Belle Clark Doughty of Jena; three brothers, Larry Doughty of Jonesville, Billy Doughty and Bobby Doughty, both of Jena; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert G. Doughty, and a son, Charles Nathan Thiels. Pallbearers were Cody McCann, Maddox Boyd, Gary Huchinson, Marvin Taylor, Stephen Doughty, and Jason Doughty, with Ethan McCann serving as honorary pallbearer.
